February is filled with events for everyone – from sports to arts to food! There’s something for everyone to enjoy this month in our local area!
Hobe Sound Festival of the Arts – Now in its 19th year, the nation’s top artist and skilled craft artisans gather Saturday, Feb 1 and Sunday, Feb 2 along Dixie Highway from Bridge Road to Venus Street. Visitors are welcomed to meet with more than 250 artists and craft artisans on site each day from 10am to 5pm. The event is completely free, including parking and trolleys. ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival – Ranked as a top art show in the United States, ArtisGras is celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2020! Showcasing a unique exhibition from over 300 of the finest artists in the world, this three-day event takes place Saturday February 15 and Sunday, February 16 in downtown Abacoa. Experience interactive art exhibits, children’s activities, live music, and demonstrations like no other in South Florida! Learn more:
MLB Spring Training – Roger Dean Stadium in downtown Abacoa is the spring training home to the two of the finest teams in Major League Baseball: the Miami Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals open the 2020 season on February 22 as they host the Mets. The Miami Marlins will then host the Washington Nationals the following day on February 23 for their home opener. Games are held every night through the end of March with top teams like the Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves and Texas Rangers coming through! For tickets and schedules, check here:
Jupiter Seafood Festival – Experience a nautical & seafood extravaganza February 22-23 at Carlin Park on Jupiter Beach. There will be plenty of seafood, vendors and music for everyone to enjoy including the international touring reggae band, The Original Wailers and Local Favorite B-Limian. Kids under 12 are free so bring the whole family to enjoy the weekend. Pack a beach bag and you can also spend some time at the beautiful beach across the street before and after! The Honda Classic – The top international players will again compete at the PGA National Resort for a $6.9 million purse February 24-March 1, 2020. This superior PGA Tour stop has found its home in Palm Beach Gardens since 2007. Several events including concerts, fireworks and a 5K accompany the tournament the week of the event.
